Leveraging the expertise of the Bravoure agency in Amsterdam, the Limburgs Museum, a prominent institution for culture and history in Limburg, embarked on a transformative digital journey. As a hub for preserving and sharing Limburg’s rich heritage, both within the museum and on the digital platform (ons.limburgsmuseum.nl), the museum sought to enhance its online presence and engagement.
The project involved a freelance collaboration with the team at Bravoure, focusing on a comprehensive redesign of the digital platform. Beyond a mere visual overhaul, our task was to align the digital experience with the museum’s objectives and create a space where users could explore and contribute to the narrative of Limburg.
In my role, I actively contributed to strategic thinking, ensuring that digital assets were not only visually compelling but also measurable against their defined objectives. The challenge lay in crafting a design that seamlessly integrated with the museum’s cultural narrative while providing users with an interactive and informative experience.
Collaborating closely with the Bravoure team, we navigated the complexities of presenting cultural and historical content in a digital landscape. From conceptual layouts to templates, components, and development-ready specs, I played a key role in shaping the visual language of the digital platform of the “ons.limburgsmuseum” section.
The design system served as the backbone, ensuring consistency and coherence across various elements. This included assets that facilitated user-generated content, allowing individuals to contribute their stories to the platform.
The collaboration with Bravoure was pivotal in translating strategic objectives into tangible design elements. Our joint effort resulted in revitalized layouts, offering a seamless blend of cultural exploration and user engagement. The design system not only upheld the integrity of the museum’s narrative but also provided a measurable impact on user interactions, turning the digital space into a dynamic repository of Limburg’s stories.
